The Education, led by the visionary Emile Martinez, is a vibrant musical collective that boasts an array of exceptionally talented artists from Los Angeles. With Martinez's direction, the band seamlessly merges various musical genres, including jazz, hip-hop, R&B, and beyond, creating a distinctive sonic tapestry. Alongside Martinez's trumpet prowess, the ensemble features Aaron Shaw on saxophone, Heather Gray on synthesizer, Gaby Duran lending her captivating vocals, Sam Reid on keys, Neon Phoenix on bass, and Jody Giachello keeping the rhythm on drums. Each member brings their unique skills and perspective, contributing to the band's dynamic performances. Together, they captivate audiences with their infectious energy and innovative storytelling through music, promising to inspire future generations with their eclectic lineup and collective vision.

Gaby Duran has established herself as a versatile artist recognized for her talents in singing, writing lyrics, composing music, and contributing as a member of the band The Education. Collaborating with prominent artists like Chuck Inglish, The Cool Kids, Vanilla Is Black, and Thundercat has significantly strengthened her position in the music scene. During her time at Berklee, under the guidance of Donna McElroy and Robin McKelle, Duran refined her skills. Her music journey includes notable appearances on albums such as "Yours! lol," The Cool Kids' "Before Shit Got Weird," and Vanilla is Black's "U.Aint.Neva.Lied!" Her musical evolution continued with the release of her debut EP "Triangles" in 2020, and she remains dedicated to creating fresh content.

Jody Giachello, known as Fourth Dimension (4D), is a drummer and producer based out of Long Beach, CA. Playing drums since the age of 2, and his involvement in jazz programs from middle school to attending Berklee College of Music, helped drive and shape his lifelong passion for music. Giachello has had the privilege of touring nationally and internationally with a wide range of musical acts and artists over the last 18 years. From Grammy nominated jazz pianist Taylor Eigsti, to British gold record selling artist VV Brown. Playing on Broadway and AGT with The Illusionists, to performing on many daytime and late night shows with the band HAIM: SNL, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Later… With Jools Holland, The Graham Norton Show, and live on BBC Radio 1. He has also had the privilege of performing at and headlining major festivals while playing with HAIM, such as. Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, Prima Vera Sound, BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Rock In Rio Lisbon, and Coachella. Giachello is currently producing music for independent artist Ellee Ven, also the Music Director for Dream City Church Long Beach, and performing around LA with 2x Grammy Nominated artist Emile Martinez and The Education.

Aaron Shaw is an active member in the music scene in LA. Aaron has had the privilege of working with several top tier artist like Elijah Blake, Anderson Paak., Dave Chappelle, Herbie Hancock, Donald Dean, Henry Franklin, Martin Luther, Mary J. Blige, Usher, Shawn Mendes + many others. Not only has Aaron had the privilege and trust from these artists, but he has also appeared and worked on music for Television and Film for companies such as Netflix, Amazon, Nike, The Participant and others. In addition to his extensive collaborations, he has had many experiences playing in the pit orchestras for musicals such as Lion King, Mulan, The Wiz, Dream Girls, and Copacabana. As an active member in the music scene in LA, Aaron has had the privilege of working with several top tier artist like Elijah Blake, Anderson Paak., Dave Chappelle, Herbie Hancock, Donald Dean, Henry Franklin, Martin Luther, Mary J. M-0ther aka Heather Gray is an electronic music producer, performer, and the bands synthesist and sound scape creator in The Education.  She has released solo music on LA based hypnotic imprint Delusional Records.  She has performed at numerous synth and electronic music festivals, performances art and audiovisual festivals as well as DIY spaces and underground clubs and parties in LA.  Her audio and film work has premiered at Tribeca Films Festival and Mix NYC Queer Film Festival.  She is also a member of Flowers and Bullets Collective in her hometown of Tucson, Arizona- a grassroots organization that reclaimed a 10 acre vacant school lot and created a community driven healing space.  The motivation behind her diverse creative work has been transforming modern systems or relationally, healing and belonging through personal and collective practice. 

Los Angeles-based Samuel Reid a keyboardist is a fresh face on the LA scene. Hailing from Houston Texas where he was a student at the prestigious High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, Reid was one of five selected for a full scholarship to Thornton School of Music at USC. Reid was recently a 1st place recipient of the prestigious Keep an Eye Competition in Amsterdam. There he led a group of fine musicians to victory with his compositional and leadership skills. Currently residing in Los Angeles, Reid has performed both locally and internationally with artists such as Terrace Martin, Erykah Badu, Luciana Souza, Dayna Stephens, and Michael Buble.
